In order to increase young people’s exposure to entrepreneurship and enhance their ability to become successful entrepreneurs, HOPE for Adolescents and Youth aims to contribute to the achievement of SDG 8 – “Promote inclusive and sustainable economic growth, full and productive employment and decent work for all”.
Building young lives-Through this programme selected programme beneficiaries are trained in ISALs and ISAL groups are established and trained in basic business practice. Programme beneficiaries are engaged in realistic business models tailored to suit their levels and promote viable enterprises. This is done through mentoring and coaching, training on business development and management, and financial literacy.
Red with Glory: Pad a Girl- The programme supports adolescent girls and young women through training them on entrepreneurship and livelihoods so that they become self-reliant. The programme empowers adolescent girls and young women through provision of a small-scale business that facilitates for the local production of low-cost washable (and soon disposable) sanitary napkins, made and sold in the local communities
