What We Do?
Through practical training and opportunity provision, We assist the youth to be self sufficient economically despite any prevailing circumstance. This will see families being measured against a stable benchmark, which measures their ability to effectively care for children and young people under their care. The pillar will also include a Climate Change component to make way for new innovations around the incumbent notion to improve families resilience in times of natural disasters.
In this regard, HOPE will be complementing government's efforts to curb new HIV infections (SRH included). This will be done by strengthening the provision of treatment, care and support to people living HIV and AIDS and their families. While the organization will not directly provide health services, it will incorporate the existing health structures such as local health facilities, village health workers and Case Care workers to ensure that the beneficiaries access the intended health care service.
Through conducting awareness campaigns we advocate for safer sex education to prevent sexually transmitted infections, HIV and unwanted pregnancies. Family planning and HIV services and the strengthening of community voices, ensuring they are heard in law and policymaking to protect them from harassment and abuse. This will promote engagement and participation of young people in human rights issues and amplify their voices toward the cause through advocacy.
Not only do we address individual clients that fit into our cause but we also engage the community and stakeholders at large. We are of the notion that for there to be a change in the individual or the affected party it starts with their surrounding environment.
To further our cause, HOPE will also adopt innovative technologies to educate young people and their families on safe productive ways of using the digital space to facilitate growth and development of the wholesome individual.
We offer support services to victims of any sexual related violence and abuse. We also reachout to those who have low self esteem and provide a safe space for them to be assisted without any marginalising or stigmatisation. We are a friend to all.
Our Approach
In order to get to the young people, we believe that one has to speak their language. Therefore our mobile outreach edutainment sessions are aimed educating the youth whilst entertaining them in order to achieve our mandate.
We also offer capacity building session in order to impart and provide services to the youth on safe reproductive health rights (SRHR).
